Camarinas

So this picture pretty much sums up our thoughts on Camarinas

Image: Stan.

After two very rolly nights at anchor and a pretty dull motor sail 45 miles west of Coruña, we were rewarded with this little gem of an anchorage. Anchored off the beach, a forest on one side of the ria and the little town of Camarinas on the other. The beach actually appeared like glitter – no micro plastics here just tiny iresescent fragments of oyster shells – utterly gorgeous.

We swam, snorkeled and beach BBQed with the crews of Tobasco, Kobbe & Vela. Great fun.

Our second day in this ria was overcast so we headed into the little town by dinghy for lunch and a wander followed by a dinghy ride across to a deserted beach and a walk in the pine forest.
